Wednesday 3rd of February, 2010
Wow, this year seems to be flying by so quickly. We’re already one month into 2010, and it feels like it was New Year’s only about a week ago. Statistics tell us that roughly 45% of people use the turning of the New Year to make a resolution of change in their life. The more popular ones include; stopping smoking, drinking less, reduce credit card debt etc. By far I think the most popular is to lose weight or get in shape.
Whatever your resolution(s) was for this year, I have a question for you. Have you kept it so far? Although it’s popular to make New Year’s resolutions, it’s also very common to not keep them. When we don’t keep our commitments to ourselves or others, it’s always easier to try and justify/make excuses why we didn’t. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve also done this before. The really sad thing is, this bad habit of trying to excuse yourself does nothing but dig you deeper into the hole you’re already in.
When it comes to losing weight or getting fit, excuses normally include statements like, “I don’t have enough time,” “The weather’s too hot,” “The weather’s too cold,” “I can’t afford a gym membership,” “It’s too painful working out.” What's your excuse?
Here are two guys that offer no excuses…
***Nick P and Chris M VIDEO CLIP goes here***
At the end of the day, regardless of how long your list of excuses is, they are still just excuses. In my experience, if I wanted something badly enough, I’ve always found a way to make it happen! Three years ago I was 20kgs overweight, and feeling pretty crap about myself physically. Even though I’d worked out on and off most of my life since I was 13 years old (even did my gym instructor certification about 12 years ago), it was the typical boring gym stuff, which I always found hard to maintain long term, because it is so boring.
Well, as you can guess I did lose the 20kgs. But I didn’t do it by going back and putting up with the typical gym workouts and classes I’d done in the past. I discovered a way of training that is not only way more fun and enjoyable, and at least 110% more effective. The Underground Strength Gym way!
I lost the weight I needed to, but I’m also way fitter and much stronger than I was. In-fact at now 36 years of age, I’m in the best shape of my life. By 40 (rather than starting to go down hill) I know with training the underground way, I’ll be in even better shape than I am now. Come and join me.
Sincerely,
John
